About Maple Lake Youth Fishing/Irish Anglers in Maple Lake, MN
"With so many nice lakes in this area, we want to get kids out fishing. A lot of them don't have parents with boats, or their parents are busy and this group allows kids to get away from their computer or phone screens so they can get outdoors on a lake for some great fishing time."
– Eric Chlan, Coach and Board Member
The Maple Lake Youth Fishing Team is for boys and girls in the 6th through 12th grades. The fishing season runs approximately early June to mid-August on Wednesday and Sunday evenings. Volunteer adult boat captains supervise two or three youth each night for fishing.
